Dreamin’ Bout Franchising…

Franchising…

I’ve always been a dreamer. When I was young, whether it was school, church, or the block, you could catch me gazing off into space thinking about what great feat I could accomplish. ”What can I do that people told me I couldn’t do?” Call me ambitious or crazy, but that’s why I wasn’t listening. Sometimes this led to a less than favorable outcome… But not all the time. Ambition and this perceived ”craziness” have allowed me to see the whole world and experience so much more than I ever thought was even possible.

I am a songwriter…

This is not a hobby for me. This is not a job. This is a condition. It’s a condition that you can compare to the need for oxygen. I need it. If I don’t get it, I die. For those that know me from my music, I want to paint a calming picture. I will not stop. That action will continue to happen as long as I walk this earth. The older I get, the less I care about what works and what doesn’t, so we’ll continue to have a ball way into old age. I will write, sing, and play until the wheels fall off. That is a promise…

Now that being said…

A couple of years ago I was in my 10000th sports debate with my brotha Joe Arrigo. We talked so much trash at the table, we had my family and his fully entertained as if they were watching us on TV. My sister was like, ”You guys need a show!” We thought nothing of it. See, this guy and I have been doing this shit since we met back in the Steve Young vs Brett Farve days. He stayed on my head every year… Until Steve hit T.O. over the middle that faithful day and deaded that shit… Joe and T.O. could’ve cried together that day for totally different reasons. Nevertheless, I was redeemed and the foundation for The Franchise was laid.

The Franchise.

If you follow me on social media you’ve probably seen as much sports banter as music or anything else. I can’t help it. It’s in me. I was born in Alabama. Football is in me. I grew up in California in the 80s and 90s. Bo Jackson, Marcus Allen, Ronnie Lott and Jerry Rice. Football is in me. I spent most of the 2000s in England. Glory Glory football is in me. Enough about football. This is #Lakergang and I bleed Dodger Blue. I’m a west coast sports fan through and through. I found a great way to link with the rest of you. It’s called Franchise Sports Media. Joe and I have been dreamin’ bout franchising and now is the time.

The New Home of Las Vegas Sports

We’ve assembled a talented group of writers, bloggers, and contributors with a focus on Sin City’s emerging sports scene. Vegas is home now and I’ve watched the transformation. The Golden Knights turned this city upside down one year and broke its heart the next. The Aces are headed to the playoffs. My favorite team is building a palace in this city just to come and play in front of me. UNLV football looks bigger, stronger, and faster than I’ve ever seen it. The culture is changing. Can they be “The New U?” I’m telling you things are changing in the desert and we will be here to document it first hand. I played everything. I wasn’t good at any of it lol. I’m no sports expert. I’m a fan just like you. Joe and the others are the experts. They will bring you journalism in a way that you won’t see on most sports sites.  They will bring you the insides of our hometown teams from a new and exciting angle that Las Vegas has yet to witness…

As for me… I’m here to talk trash.

My posts will be of a different nature. As I said, I’m just a fan so I probably don’t like your team if I haven’t mentioned them. You are so welcome to join the franchise. Leave comments on the page and our social media channels repping your team so I can shut you down. You’ll have the opportunity to return the favor because I’m for sure coming to your page with some madness. We’re a Las Vegas Sports Media company, but I have friends all over the place. Holla at me Manchester United fans you know we got some shit to say. We also welcome the poor, disillusioned, and all my haters. Cowboys, Yankees, Notre Dame, Alabama, Celtics, and Liverpool fans, come and join the franchise with your pitiful selves. You are all welcome.

All jokes aside, life is about dreaming, man. Dream up an idea and get to work on it. Allow people to tell you it’s not possible. That is fuel my friends. Dream it. Name it. Create it. Franchise it.
